The problem

Comparing two recordings is not a byte comparison. Meaningful differences live in the waveform and in what was actually said — and neither a binary diff nor a plain text diff captures both.

The approach

  1. 01

Built waveform-level comparison across WAV files.

  2. 02

Paired it with transcript diffing so text and audio differences are reported together.

  3. 03

Produced detailed segment analysis, so the output localises where recordings diverge rather than just reporting that they do.

  4. 04

Packaged and published to npm as a typed TypeScript library.

The outcome

A published, installable npm package that gives audio and transcript diffing with per-segment detail.

Built with

TypeScriptNode.jsnpm
