The problem

Enterprise finance operations spread across disconnected tools make budgeting, approvals and audit trails slow and hard to verify. The platform needed finance modules that enforce authority rules exactly, stay auditable end to end, and sit inside a wider ERP without becoming a silo.

The approach

  1. 01

Built the core Finance domain — budgeting, financial workflows, approvals and accounting operations — as modules inside a permission-driven ERP.

  2. 02

Modelled authority and access as first-class data so every approval step resolves against explicit permissions rather than hard-coded roles.

  3. 03

Kept the Next.js frontend and Nest.js API on a shared TypeScript contract, so schema changes surface at compile time instead of in production.

  4. 04

Ran the platform on AWS with Docker and Nginx, deployed through CI/CD onto Linux hosts.

The outcome

Finance workflows — budgeting through to accounting operations — run inside a single permission-driven system with approvals and audit captured as part of the process rather than bolted on afterwards.
