The problem
Clinical lab software carries real-world consequences and long lifespans. This system had to handle patient records, test management and reporting in live hospital use — while part of it still ran on an ageing VB6/VB.Net codebase that was increasingly costly to maintain.
The approach

Worked across patient records, test management and reporting in a system running in major government hospitals.

Migrated the Histology application from its legacy codebase onto PHP Laravel.
- 03
Worked across both SQL Server and MySQL data stores alongside the legacy VB6 / VB.Net components.
- 04
Built the OCM Software Guide Videos feature.
The outcome
The Histology application moved off legacy code onto Laravel, inside a lab system that continues to run in major government hospitals across Ireland.
